Technology Fast 500: Shopware wins award

Paris/Schöppingen, 21.12.2017 – Shopware, Germany’s leading manufacturer of eCommerce software, was once again recognised with the Technology Fast 500 Award at the beginning of December 2017. Auditing and consulting group, Deloitte, awards the prize annually to the fastest growing companies from various regions. In this year’s ranking, Shopware came in number 462 for companies from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Reporting a 243% increase in sales over the past four years, Shopware ranks among the top 20 fastest growing companies in Germany. For the company based out of Münsterland, the sustainability of this development is particularly important. “We are very pleased to have been honoured by Deloitte for the third time. As a fast-growing company, it’s important that our expansion is both healthy and stable. This award once again confirms that we are on the right track in this respect,” says Stefan Heyne, Shopware CEO. 

For a 100 percent equity-financed company, constant growth is an impressive achievement, and one that is not only reflected in sales. “Within only a few years, our number of employees has increased exponentially,” Heyne reports on the company’s dramatic growth. 

For Shopware, there is no end to this expansion in sight. “We are continuing to grow and establish ourselves in new markets, and our current focus is on becoming the leading online shop software in the UK. Having recently launched a number of major projects and partnered with strong partners, we are confident we’re taking the right steps towards achieving our goal,” says Heyne.
