Today Shopware released the latest version of their leading eCommerce system, Shopware 5.5, which is available for immediate download. Coinciding with this release, Shopware also made an updated version of the B2B Suite available, positioning the shop system manufacturer even more strongly in the B2B segment.

At the end of 2015, Shopware moved to its new headquarters in Schöppingen, Germany. Last Monday, less than three years later, the software company officially started construction of yet another building to make room for massive expansion.

In his keynote speech, Shopware board member and company founder Stefan Hamann presented the company's future plans, Shopware 5.5 and the new "Playground" platform.


UKFast now offers a Shopware-optimised hosting package. The service is designed to enable merchants to take full advantage of the hardware as well as the eCommerce platform for the result is improved webpage load speed and a solution that can cope with huge surges of traffic without slowing down.

The theme of last Friday's (9 June) Shopware Community Day explored the new “Age of the Customer", where people must always remain the focus of attention. 1,600 merchants, partners, developers and eCommerce enthusiasts from across Europe met in Ahaus, Germany, and learned about the future of online commerce in 50 presentations and from 40 exhibitors. They were all part of the Community Day, whose key theme this year was "Hello Human". "The core component of any business process must take a customer-focused approach," explained Stefan Hamann, Shopware founder and member of the Management Board, during his keynote speech. This concept is apparent in the upcoming Shopware version 5.3 and in the software manufacturer's future projects, which Hamann revealed in an impressive presentation.
