The curtain is up. Today, under the motto "Circus eCommerce“, over 1,500 guests – including shop owners, partners, developers and eCommerce enthusiasts – have come together in Ahaus to learn about the latest from the Shopware ecosystem.
The anticipation has paid off. One of the three founders and CEOs of Shopware, Stefan Hamann, has just addressed several important updates in his opening keynote. One of the highlights included the brand new shop software version, Shopware 5.1. The latest release comes with a handful of new features, to name a few:
- Product Streams – new feature for creating targeted campaigns
- Digital Publishing – new feature for creating fully responsive graphics, directly from your backend
- Inclusion of even better technology and overall performance boost

But that’s no enough – for the Shopware Community Day, we once again welcome an informative and diverse program to the stage. Guests can look forward to a total of 40 exhibitors and 70 preseters, from all walks of eCommerce and marketing.
On the main stage, visitors get the opportunity to hear Carsten Cramer, Marketing Director of Borussia Dortmund, speak about the digital strategy of one of Germany’s premier football teams. Later Felix Schmidt, Director of eCommerce at L’ORÉAL, illuminates the infrastructure of the multi-brand luxury goods company.
The exciting timeline also includes an insider look at the EURONICS case study, as well as an informative presentation of the new Gaastra online shop, which went live only three days before the Community Day.
This year alone, an impressive number of popular brand shops have been realized with Shopware. Sharaf DG, Eterna, Strenesse, Gaastra and both the Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart fan shops exemplify this – with much more to follow. Without a doubt, the trust of such well-known brands reflect the strength of the Shopware platform.
But above all, this event would cease to be without our Community, who stand in the spotlight as our key driver of innovation.
