Founded in the Netherlands in 1897, Gaastra is also enormously popular in Belgium, Germany, France, China and Croatia. The brand offers lightweight and functional maritime jackets, shoes and shirts for men, women and children. They also carry a line of accessories for sailing enthusiasts, bringing nautical lifestyle together with innovative functionality. After decades of experience, the brand is known across the globe by yachtsmen and lovers of maritime fashion. Within the online shop alone, customers have over 1,000 quality items to choose from.
From a functional perspective, the novel possibilities offered by Shopware 5 are completely suited for a fashion label. One of Gaastra’s goals using the new shop system was to implement an inspirational, emotionally charged brand world that invites customers to explore the shop. “Our previous shop was already outdated. The relaunch was a great opportunity to rethink everything and decide on new processes. Shortly after the relaunch, the new shop has already received overwhelming feedback. The shop was decorated with the coveted Shop Usability Award, taking the entire category of “Fashion”. The award is presented annually by the German company Shoplupe GmbH and is decided upon by an expert panel of individual eCommerce experts.
