Sebastian Hamann is a passionate designer and a pioneer in bringing more emotional shopping to the German eCommerce. Already at the age of 15, along with his brother, he founded Shopware. As the creative head of the company, Sebastian is responsible for the holistic design and marketing concept. In order to shape the future of retail, he always thinks out of the box.
Stefan Heyne is responsible for the strategic direction of shopware AG in the realm of corporate communication and marketing. Maintaining the perfect balance between external appearance and internal sales processes, Stefan is a full-blooded entrepreneur with 20 years experience in sales and diverse media-related spheres.
Sebastian oversees technical support for all customers and partners of shopware AG, a breadth of responsibility which includes quality assurance, technical documentation for all products of Shopware and bepado, as well as satisfying the individual programming enquiries required by highly complex projects.
As Director of Finance and Human Resources, Ralf Marpert is responsible for managing all administrative processes. Next to developing Shopware as an attractive employer, Ralf also covers all central procurement and contractual matters. Before his time at Shopware, he gained extensive experience in classic B2B retail at Pietsch Group, a wholesaler for home technology, as well as from his 8 years’ experience as an Assistant to the Managing Director and supply chain Division Manager. He graduated from the University of Konstanz (Administrative Sciences, 2004) and the German International Business School (GISMA) in Hannover (MBA, 2012).
Tobias is responsible for the communication strategy of Shopware and the building and care of the brand. Since graduating in 1999 with a master’s in Event Planning and Business Administration, Tobias has amassed significant experience in marketing - his last position was Manager of Global Marketing at Chiemsee, the famous board-sports brand.
As Director of Sales, Klaus pilots the development and implementation of both direct and indirect sales. With 20 years’ experience in sales and distribution—his last position as eCommerce Manager at Eurotops Versand GmbH—Klaus is responsible for creating effective strategies for both the German and international market.
As GM UK, Deepak Anand is responsible for strategic and executive measures in the expanding the UK market for Shopware. Deepak is a seasoned, strategic leader who’s specialised in Retail, Technology and Finance including commerce & payment technologies. He has written a number of articles around Digital Disruption. Prior to Shopware, Deepak successfully spent a number of years at Magento, PayPal, Real Time Content (Pitney Bowes) where he worked with hundreds of retailers. With a strong understanding of sales enablement, processes, & execution, Deepak focuses on achieving financial and customer satisfaction goals.
Since day one, Christian Tietmeyer has played an important role in founding the company. As a member of the supervisory board, Shopware is able to benefit from his extensive experience in tax consultancy and understanding of complex tax systems.
As chairman of the supervisory board, Reinhold Wellers has been an important part of Shopware’s history since 2008. His 35+ years’ experience as a bank operator have been instrumental to Shopware’s everyday business. During his time as chairman, Shopware became one of the leading shop software manufacturers in Europe.
As founder and chairman of the board at the software company d.velop AG, Pliete brings an IT background to the supervisory board. For the past 25 years, he has seen constant growth at the top of a company and completes the supervisory board with his profound business insight.
